Trick-Or-Treating with Gigi

I love this newest photo of my niece for several reasons. She looks to be consumed with happiness. She looks proud of the work she’s accomplished. She believes the outcome is beautiful, and therefore, she feels beautiful. It reminds me of all the fantastic projects my mother came up with for us to do. The sense of accomplishment and pride in a job well done. She also looks a lot like my big sis. It reminds me I can’t spend my life waiting for Christmas. I’ve got to come home for good… in time.

Blog Update: I’m full of, waste. My sister told me my niece has this thing. It’s not specific to this one photograph. She’s on a kick of seeing herself in the camera and this is her latest and greatest pose. In my mind I’ll continue to believe what I wrote above because I like to pretend to be deeper than I really am. .. .Sarcasm and embarrassing honesty. I’ll never stop.
